The Midget Football League of Manitoba is proud to announce that Midget Bowl III, the league's annual post-season all-star showcase, will take place the afternoon of Sunday, November 7th (1:00pm) at East Side Stadium, and will feature the top 12-20 players from each MFLM team.
Practices are scheduled for St. Vital's Maple Grove Park on the following dates:
Wednesday, November 3rd (6:30pm-9:00pm)
Thursday, November 4th (6:30pm-9:00pm)
Saturday, November 6th (1:00pm-3:00pm)
Following Wednesday's practice, players will be divided into two squads- Team Green and Team Silver, corresponding to the home and away colours of the Winnipeg Rifles.
Selected players have been notified of their invitations in the reverse order of their team's finish- non-playoff clubs began last week, while the Nomads and Mustangs championship teams are informing its players this weekend.
Players are required to supply full equipment for practices and games, including game pants and socks. Game jerseys will be provided by the MFLM/Rifles prior to kickoff. Players are expected to be in attendance for each practice, and if a player is unable to attend he must notify his club's head coach. If a player is absent for the first practice and has not informed his coach or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., that player will be assumed to have declined his invitation, and his roster spot will be given to another player.
Barring a major snowstorm or extreme cold, event activities will not be canceled or postponed. Please visit this website (www.midgetfootball.ca) daily for status updates. Please arrive 15 to 20 minutes early for each practice, and dress for the weather.
Game tickets are $5.00 at the gate on game day, and children 12-and-under will be admitted free. Trevor Grier (Midget Bowls I & II) is reprising his role as game day announcer.
